Kendal is a professional equestrian with an honours degree in Biological Science at the University of Guelph. Her home base is at Reindalyne Farm in Uxbridge, ON. She helps run the farm with her mother Gwen. During the winter she travels to Ocala, FL for 3 months to train and compete. This is the heart of horse country and a great place to campaign to stay at the top of the sport. While Kendal’s main focus is Eventing, she also competes in Show Jumping and Dressage. She believes that to be the best in your sport, you have to cross train to get comfortable in the different rings and atmospheres. Kendal has competed at the CCI**** level in Eventing, 1.35m jumpers and Fourth level dressage.
Kendal was born and raised on a farm in Uxbridge and started riding as soon as she could walk. She got her first pony at the age of five, who she fox hunted and started pony club on. Through Pony Club she obtained her ‘B’ level and competed in Dressage, Show Jumping, Eventing and Tetrathlon; competed both nationally and internationally. However, from the start she was hooked on Eventing.
Kendal competed in her first event when she was 11 and has never looked back. She started competing at the international levels of Eventing in 2005. One of her major achievements was winning individual and team gold at the North American Junior/Young Rider Championships in 2006 on her horse Understudy. Kendal competed Understudy to the CIC*** level, Daily Edition to the CCI**** level and Totally Frank to the CCI*** level, as well as numerous horses throughout the levels both nationally and internationally.
